Trying to be more on the ball with preparations for celebrating? These little cupcake toppers are cute, super simple to make and adaptable to any party theme. Do them ahead and your party preparation list will be that much shorter!

Digital Layout to Paper Layout Challenge

July 3, 2010 | Filed under: Articles, Challenges

Last week I shared with you how I took a digital layout done a while ago and turned it into a traditional paper layout using printed digital kit papers, alpha and various other elements.

This week I get to bring you The Hybrid Chick challenge and I thought “why not?” if I can do it, so can anyone.

Digital to Hybrid Layout

June 28, 2010 | Filed under: Articles

Turning your digital layout into paper layout is not as hard as it looks. Having just done my first one ever, which is a total copy of my original digital layout, I was quite surprised how nicely it all came together and how wonderful it looks with all the texture you get from real layers and real card stock.

Hybrid Key Holder

May 14, 2010 | Filed under: Articles

After moving to new home I found we had more keys than before, and a new home was needed to keep them all in one place and handy. I set out to make something nice – and practical. Here’s how I did it.

Wedding Gift Frame

March 5, 2010 | Filed under: Articles

Spring! The birds are chirping and love is in the air. Wedding plans are underway for the warmer weather and there is lots to be done. Do you have a wedding to attend? Want something special instead of the usual gifts to give at a wedding. With June weddings on the horizon you have time to make this Love Photo Frame.

Love Notes

February 14, 2010 | Filed under: Articles

I spied a new kit in the boutique at The Digi Chick and just about fell in love all over again. Not really!! :) Mind you what more could you want for Valentines than a pretty kit and a box full of love. Maybe some chocolates? Maybe in the box too. Now we are talking.

This project is a makeover for an old box that I have kept love notes that my family shares with each other every Valentine’s day.

Disc Album

January 6, 2010 | Filed under: Articles

Ever have a hard drive crash? Need to reformat or just got a new computer. Do you have all those little backup discs and cd’s organised? I am not talking about the ones you buy like Photoshop CS3 or Microsoft Office that come in their big covers. More the little programs that you buy, a backup of your running system perhaps, or any other things that you have purchased on line and just can’t do without.

Here is a neat way to keep them all together and be able to find them at a glance.

Stitched Christmas Card

December 7, 2009 | Filed under: Articles

Make someone feel extra special by adding a handmade touch to their Christmas card. Learn this technique which is easier than it looks and use it for your Christmas cards and other cards throughout the year. You can even do the hard part ahead of time and add it to your cards when you need them.

Romance Pack

November 25, 2009 | Filed under: Articles

I have romance on my mind. Spring has sprung – well at least down under in Australia it has! I am traveling and there is a certain amount of romance in the notion of travel. Plus my niece is getting married. So this months project called for something decidedly romantic.
Don’t know anyone getting married? What about a “date night pack” or passion pack if you like? :)

Travel Notebook Diary

November 4, 2009 | Filed under: Articles

There are three must have’s on the top of my check off list for when we travel. Tickets, Passport and my purpose designed travel notebook diary. With these I am set to go! Right now I am traveling and you can read on to find out what I put in this nifty little number.
