Step 1:

Design the bottom of the box in your favorite program. The measurement of the bottom box is 7.5 inches x 7.5 inches.

Design the top of the box. The measurement is 5.75 inches x 5.75 inches.

Print.

Step 2:

Carefully cut the pieces using an Xacto blade and a metal ruler.

Step 3:

Score the larger square at 2 inches on each side. Score the smaller (top) square at 1 inch on each side. Carefully cut the sides as shown in the picture.

Step 4:

Using a corner rounder punch, remove the guides, and punch along the edge of the top of the box to create a scallop edge.

Step 5:

Assemble box, adhere sides and attach a coordinating bow.

EXTRA:

I cut a few blue flowers, cut them out and layered them onto the piece. It adds a little extra pop!

Enjoy!

Being home for summer means plenty of trips to the pool. Unfortunately we don’t own our own pool, so it means taking advantage of all of our friend’s pools! I always try to bring each person a little something for their generosity. Whether it’s little bottles of sunscreen, goggles, or even some little candles. I just want to give something that says thank you.

When I saw this adorable little gable box in the Hot, Hot, Hot! collection by The Digichick Designers and just knew it would be PERFECT. I wanted to jazz it up just a little bit and I’ll show you just how I did that!

PHYSICAL SUPPLIES:

Matte Photo Paper

Metal Ruler

Adhesive – HermaDots

Cutting Knife – Xacto

Scoring Tool

Prima Flowers

Brads

String

Ribbon

Step 1:

You’ll be using the template provided in the Hot, Hot, Hot! kit. Open it up in your photo editing program. Add elements to your desire. In the corner of the pages, there will be two little areas perfect for a tiny little t-shirt. Resize the t-shirt to fit that area. Make a copy of the shirt, and flip it horizontally so that you have a front and back image.

Print your image.

Step 2:

Carefully cut your image using a metal ruler and an exacto knife. If you prefer, you can use scissors. Cut out both of the t-shirts and set aside.

Step 3:

Using the lines provided by the template, carefully score the lines using a bone folder.

Step 4:

Carefully adhere paper flowers to the box using a paper piercer or needle. Insert brads.

Step 5:

Fold box into shape, apply adhesive to the side to hold box together.

Step 6:

Place the t-shirts back to back and punch a hole with the Crop-a-dile. Insert an eyelet and crimp. Tie string to shirt and hang from one of the flowers on the box.

Step 7:

Punch two holes into the top of the gable box. Thread ribbon and tie!

Step 8:

Enjoy!!!!
