Well, I seem to be on an album making spree at the moment and whilst I love albums with umpteen pages, pockets, dividers, flaps, tags and so on, sometimes, it is good to just spend a couple of hours and actually complete an album in an afternoon rather than spend days on it . This is one such album.
I saw a video on YouTube from Bex Swanson which can be found here . It is simply made from two sheets of 12 by 12 card stock and can be made (and decorated) in a couple of hours.
I saw this kit and collection from Snickerdoodle Designs and it is perfect for those summer memories:
Isn’t it gorgeous?!!! I love those artistic papers 😉 .
It took less than 15 minutes to make the album but then I had to grunge it up and decorate it, which took somewhat longer! Obviously, though, I had to choose the embellishments and papers first and bearing in mind that everything had to be fussy cut, I chose embellishments which would be easier to cut out:
See what I mean about those papers? Aren’t they beautiful.
This is the completed album after decoration (I won’t bore you with photos of me sticking papers in!):
I’m planning to use this album to record the day trips I have been taking with my parents. I just haven’t got around to printing the photographs yet! The good thing is that there is plenty of room to add more tags as well as photos 😉 .
Here is the short video I made showing the album in slightly more detail:
If you do make one of these albums, please do post a picture in the gallery. I would love to see what you come up with 🙂
