Hybrid Happiness Card Class Day 4

January 17, 2013 | Filed under: Articles, Challenges, Video Tutorial and tagged with: Hybrid Card making class, Paper Garden Projects

Welcome to Day 4 of the class. We are still working with digital stamps today.

We will be using one of the templates from day 2 to make our card and will be combining some of the digital stamps from the last class to make our image. Today’s class will be short so you should have some extra time to do some creating.

In today’s video, we will be creating a flower cluster to place on our card front.

Day 4 Video 1: Creating stamp groups

It is also possible to use pre-colored digital scrapbook elements to create your central image on your card.

In this video we look at how to combine some digital scrapbook “stickers” to make the card front image.

We also have our second Challenge today!

Just create a card with a digital stamp on it and post it in our challenge forum. You can earn Chickie Points towards free products just for entering challenges! You can see all the challenge details here.

If you are interested in additional digital stamps, I have a coupon code for you. Just enter pgpclassfun and the shopping cart will take 50% off all digital stamps in the Paper Garden Projects store here at the Digichick (most of the stamp sets are on page 3). The coupon is good through Feb. 15, 2013.

Come back next week for our last 2 classes. We will be looking at different ways to embellish your card templates using the brush tool, eraser tool and custom shape tool.

Thank you very much for these tutorials as well. Loving them to the max!
May I ask a question? Where is day 4 video 2 located? I can only see videos 1 and 3 at the moment.

Thank you for this wonderful class! I find myself watching the videos first then going back and
following the steps. I’m using my lap top and have not been able to use the zoom/scroll feature-any suggestions?
    Thanks again.

Thank you very much for the classes and supplies. The program I have is very different than PSE and can not open the templates, so I am using all of the other advice and tips you have provided. Thank you again for your generosity.

    Sincerely
    Polkadotlady

    Hi Mikki,

I’m not sure the laptop track pad has a function that mimics the mouse scroll button. You can zoom by grabbing the zoom tool (magnifying glass) and clicking to zoom. Alt click to zoom back out. The shortcut for the zoom tool is just Z.

Also, if you are zoomed in and need to move the view over, you can hold down the shift key and you get the hand tool. Just click and drag to move the display. When you release the shift, you go back to the tool you were using.

    Hope that helps!
