The Polar Express is my favorite holiday movie! I just love it because it’s so full of Christmas magic. So, I decided to create movie tickets for the kids in my class for our PJ’s & Polar Express Party day. I decided to use the Gift Card Folders cutting files by Paper Garden Projects.
Supplies Used: Gift Card Folders cutting files by Paper Garden Projects
Other supplies Used:
- Green cardstock
- Red/green striped patterned paper
- Making Memories alphabet rubons
- Train sticker
My brand new Silhouette Cameo made creating this project a piece of cake! I wish I had bought this awesome machine a long time ago! I used green cardstock for the mats and the striped patterned paper for folder itself. I think it might have looked better if I had done it the other way, that way when you opened up the folder, you would not see the boring white underside of the striped patterned paper. Oh well, I like the way it turned out anyway! These are the striped pieces after they were cut.
So, after the Cameo did it’s job, all I had to do was fold in the correct spots and tape it together where needed. These cutting files and the Cameo together are definitely the way to go in the crafting world! I used Making Memories alphabet rubons to add the lettering. On the back of the folder it says “All Aboard the Polar Express” and on the front it says “Admit One” You could use rubber stamps to add your lettering or even write it with your markers!
For the inside of the folder, I hand cut a movie ticket out of cardstock and the striped patterned paper. I used the rubons again to add the letters.
Here is a finished product picture of the movie ticket holder. Hope you like it and might try to make one of your own!
