Summertime Memories Beach Bag
With school back in session and the summer behind us, it’s still fun to remember fun summer and beach memories by creating a personalized beach bag or backpack. With one bag template, you can add additional pieces to transform the bag into a backpack or personalize it with a note or a name in just a few easy steps
Supplies:
- Michelle Batton’s Tale of the Mermaid Princess
- Kelleigh Ratzlaff’s Fancy Bag Template Set and Cutting Files
- Kelleigh Ratzlaff’s Fat Envies Template Set and Cutting Files
- Glossy Accents
- Googly eyes
- Stickles/ Glitter
- Velcro dots
- 3D foam dots
Step 1: Decorate and print one large fancy bag and one fat envelope from templates using digital kit. I printed my decorated template on one side and a colored paper on the other side. The width of your fat envelope should be ½ of an inch shorter than the width of your bag.
Step 2: Accent your bag with various embellishments. To create additional depth, I used Glossy Accents over all of my elements and letters. I also added googly eyes to all of the adorable little critters and glittered the pearl in the shell. Set aside all pieces to dry.
Step 3: If you would like to create a backpack, create 2 backpack straps of ¼ in width and 8 inches in length. Fold over each strip to the length of the backpack and adhere the ends. Repeat for the second backpack strap.
Step 4: Assuming that all pieces are dry, assemble backpack and envelope. Attach backpack straps on the back of the bag angled towards each other. Attach both sides of the velcro dot under bag flap. Press down to adhere velco dot to the bag front. Using 3D foam dots, center and attach envelope to the front of the bag and add a little note in theenvelope if desired.
I hope that you enjoy your little beach bag and fill it with fun memories, notes, snacks or goodies to remember the summer and seaside moments.
