Card Caravan Challenge #25 – Pop It Up

September 2, 2012 | Filed under: Articles, Challenges and tagged with: cards, Do it Yourself, Etc by Danyale, Girl Boy Girl Designs, Michelle Batton

Hi all!  Jen (JLJ Designs) here.  First things first, a huge thank you to all of you that participated in our last challenge! The cards/projects were, as always, amazing!  Now on to LuAnn’s favorite peeps from her paper piecing challenge.

Here are her choices in no particular order:

  • Julie B.x
  • Mary C.
  • Julia Vazquez

Here’s a Favorite Peep badge for your blog:

Congratulations! Thanks again for playing along with LuAnn’s challenge!

For my challenge, we’re going dimensional – add something to your card that pops up from the surface.  You can use pop dots or other dimensional techniques.  The Card Caravan Chicks really pulled out all the stops for this challenge.

Cathy brings us a gorgeous card using Kashmir by Etc. by Danyale and Sweet Digi Scraps.

You can see how Cathy really popped it up:

Melissa inspires us with a sweet baby card using Star Light, Star Bright by Jen Balding (Girl Boy Girl Designs) and Michelle Batton.

LuAnn created this fun card using an upcoming release from Michelle Batton called Tales of the Mermaid Princess which will be in The Digichick Shop on 9/6. The center part of the card is popped up from the back blue part.

Here’s my card using Girl Basics by Bella Gypsy.  I popped up the banner and really like the effect.

Happy Crafting!
Jen
