Pinwheel Coffee Filter Banner

May 22, 2012 | Filed under: Articles and tagged with: baby, decoration, Do it Yourself, home decor, Siamese Studios, wall hanging, Wishing Well Creations

You can create a fun welcome summer pinwheel banner in just a few easy steps with just a few craft supplies that you have on hand. Here are the supplies that you will need:

  • Scissors
  • Coffee filters
  • Embellishments
  • Adhesive: Preferably glue dots or hot glue gun
  • Tape/ stapler
  • String/ twine
  • Clothespins
  • Digital kit for papers:  I used Bumble Rumble from our May guest Siamese Studios
  • Digital alpha: I used the alpha from the Pinwheel kit by Wishing Well Creations

First, you need to create the pinwheels for your banner by folding 2.75 inch x 11 inch strips like an accordion and tape the strip together.

Then, adhere them together using tape, staple or glue dots

Print your letters and cut out a 3 inch circle around the letter. Glue one of your circle letters in the middle of each of your pinwheels

Glue finished pinwheels onto 2 coffee filters. Hang twine/string where you want to display your banner and pin your banner with the clothes pins. Embellish as desired- I added flowers and centers to the letters
