A Trio of Treats
Hi there! With a holiday right around the corner, as a mom of a young man in college, I wanted to send him something sweet since he won’t be spending the holiday with us. Every college student loves care packages and I wanted to make this one special without being all ‘cutesy’ with bunnies and chicks. So, here’s what I came up for a more masculine and mature treat!
Supplies you will need for this project:
- The Daily Details Kit by Boutique Collabs
- Take-Out Box Template by Kelleigh Ratzlaff
- Embellishments, ribbon
- Scissors and adhesive
First, I must tell you that with The Daily Details Kit listed above, you get a bonus printable hybrid project! How cool is that?! There’s also a ton of great elements, two alphabets and a couple of layouts too! The bonus template is a Gathered Box using some of the papers from the kit! Since my son has a couple of good friends who are always helping him out with laundry and other projects, I thought this would be a the perfect little gift to send along with his. I am always sending them cookies and treats anyway and now I have a cute little box for one of them!
I started by printing out my favorite papers from the kit along with several embellishments I thought I might use. I changed the color of the printed lines in the template to match my paper and printed them right on top of the patterned paper.
Just follow the directions for assembly, decorate as you wish and fill with your favorite treats!
This is a fun project that can be easily be customized and used for any holiday, birthday or ‘just because’! Take-out boxes are a ‘cool’ way to give a gift to that special teenager in your life! Let’s see what you can do with one of my favorite templates!
Have a great day!
