Autumn Wall Decor
Autumn presents a time full of warm colors. I love seeing reds, yellow and orange at this time of year. I wanted to create something pretty to hang up during this time of year. So, I created this wall vase using just a sheet of paper. Follow along as we make this beautiful decoration that can be used at any time of the year.
Supplies:
- Cornucopia by Wishing Well Creations
- Trimmer
- Adhesive
- Scoring tools
- Hole puncher
- Ribbon
- Flowers
- Ink
The first step is to print out your paper. You will want to print a design on both sides. Once printed, trim your paper to 8″ x 8″.
Next, you will mark a spot at 4″ along two adjoining sides. Score in between those marks. Once scored, fold the paper to create the flap of the cone.
The next score lines are as follows: turn the sheet over and score from the flap’s right and left points to the bottom center of the sheet. You will also score the very center of the sheet up to the flap. (see the arrows in my picture and please ignore all the excess score lines, I didn’t have my paper lined up correctly on my Scor-Pal)
Once all my lines were scored and folded, I inked all the edges.
Finally, you will take some adhesive and secure the back. To hang this on a wall, I punched two holes for my ribbon.
Now it’s time to dress up the front. Originally, I printed out some elements from the kit, but I also printed two 3″ x 3″ squares of paper to use with some of my punches. I found some flowers in my flower stash to use and adhered them to the flap.
I secured my ribbon, added my flowers to the cone and found a nice place to hang my new decoration.
I think it turned out really pretty. You could also use this to add treats and give away as a gift.
