A Sweet Treat Candy Bar Card
Now that October is here, the leaves are changing color and people are decorating for Halloween. Which means one thing at our house – CANDY!! And you can’t have candy without chocolate!! So join me today as we create a candy bar card.
Supplies:
- Happy Haunting by Danielle Engebretson
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Adhesive
- Scoring Tools
- Ink
- Candy bar
To begin you need a sheet of cardstock measuring 6 1/8 x 5 inches. On the 5 inch side you will score at 2 3/8 inches and 2 5/8 inches.
Once scored, I inked the edges with black ink.
For the pocket you will need a 2 1/4 x 7 inch piece of cardstock. You will score this vertically at 1/2 and 3/4 inch on both the left and right sides. Then score horizontally at 1/2 and 3/4 inch as well.
Next you will cut away pieces like I did in the next few steps. I first cut out a square following my score lines on each side.
Then I cut diagonally two triangles from the side and bottom. Repeat for the other side.
Using your adhesive, you can attach the pocket. See how nicely the candy bar fits inside?
For the front of my card, I created a document 2 1/4 x 6 inches and added my own personal touch using Danielle’s Happy Haunting kit.
Once I printed it, I cut it out and attached it to the front. Now you have a sweet little treat to offer to someone.
