August 24, 2011 | Filed under: Articles and tagged with: apple, basket, Christmas Gifts, Do it Yourself, gift, gift boxes, Kelleigh Ratzlaff, Mari Koegelenberg, Melissa Wilson, pencil box, Sugarplum Paperie, teacher, TK Whimsy

Here is a super fast and easy gift that can be made in minutes for a special teacher. The sweet apple bag can be filled with pencils and other school supplies, candies or a little gift. The adorable pencil box can also be filled with candies, pencils or how about a beautiful pen with the teacher’s name engraved on it! The possibilities are endless for this sweet ensemble.

Here’s what you need to get started:

  • Apple Basket Template Set and  Cutting Files by Kelleigh Ratzlaff
  • Pencil Box Collection Template Set by Kelleigh Ratzlaff
  • Back to School – School Supplies Printables -  a Collaboration between Melissa Wilson and MKC (Bookmarker)
  • ABCs and 123s: The Kit by Sugarplum Paperie
  • Back to School Full Kit by TKWhimsy
  • Pencils, Candy
  • Twine and Ribbon
  • Score-Pal or Scoring Tool and Ruler
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Button

WARNING: There are not too many pics and steps for this project! That’s just how easy it is! Just assemble the templates as directed and decorate!

Print Out Templates. Insert back into printer and print desired patterned papers onto other sides of templates.  Cut out and score where indicated.

Now print out your embellishments. Cut them out and set aside.

Assemble the Apple Basket. Once assembled, wrap twine around the stem, adhering with hot glue on the back of template.

Now add the rest of your embellishments and fill with desired gifts!

Next, assemble the pencil box. Decorate as desired. Fill with pencils, candies or another goody such as an engraved pen with teacher’s name on it!

There you have it! A Super FAST and EASY gift for teacher!

Have a wonderful School Year!!

Hugs…

Melissa

Love it, what type of paper did you use for the apple? I hear a lot of people use presentation paper, but I can’t see it being strong enough to hold things like this. Thanks!
