Candle Lights

Here I am again with a new project. This time I crafted some small candle lights for you. You can make them quickly as a gift if you get a sudden invitation, but they are also perfect for table decoration.

Here is what you will need to create these lights:

  • TDC collab. “Birthday Bash”
  • a sheet of transparent paper
  • a sheet of photo paper – I printed two papers from Birthday Bash onto them
  • glue
  • a glass
  • cutter
  • decorative scissors
  • ribbons
  • other embellishments to decorate the light

First, I cut a small stripe from the printed paper and a wide strip from the transparent paper. Cut the one side of the transparent paper with decorative scissors.

Now you will need the glass. It doesn’t matter how tall it is. You need it only as helper to create your light. At the end, you will remove it. Make sure that the glass that you use is the same size at to top as it is at the bottom.

Now wrap the transparent paper with the decoratively cut side above around the glass and stick it at the back . You can also use tape for better stability.

Then glue the photo paper on the back and wrap it around the transparent paper.

Now do the same with the ribbon.

Now you can let you imagination run free. Decorate with embellishments of your choice.

For the one on the left, I punched some paper flowers and stuck a button in the center with hot glue. The one on the right I made a bow from the ribbon and ahdered it also with hot glue.

When you are ready to display the light, remove the glass and put a battery operated tea-light in it.
