Super Sweet (and super easy) Candy Dispensers!

March 14, 2011 | Filed under: Articles and tagged with: birthdays, buttons, Candy, Christmas Gifts, digichick collabs, dispenser, Do it Yourself, Easter, home decor, Kelleigh Ratzlaff, Quirky Twerp, Sugarplum Paperie, weddings

These adorable little boxes are so easy and FUN to make! From printer to embellished treasures they can be made in less than an hour!

For all the dispensers I made, you will need the following:

  • Candy Dispenser Template Set by Kelleigh Ratzlaff
  • Sweet Memories by Nicole and Dani
  • In the Meadow by Nicole and Monica
  • Confectionerie Elements Pack
  • Cherry Delight
  • Treasure the Memory: The Elements
  • ScorPal or ruler and Scorer tool
  • Hot Glue Gun or Double-Sided Tape
  • Ribbons and Trims
  • Toothpicks
  • Pink Ink Pad
  • Now let’s get started!

First you will print out your choice of papers. Then insert the paper back into printer for the candy dispenser template to print. It should print on the back of the patterned or solid paper.

Now cut out the template on the solid lines and score on the dashed lines.

Fold box on score lines and adhere with glue or tape where noted.

This is what the completed dispenser will look like before being embellished.

Now print out your embellishments onto white cardstock and trim them out.

To make the banner strung across the top of the box, ink 2 toothpicks with light pink ink, then when dry, glue a toothpick to the back of each end of the banner. The banner is from the Sweet Memories Kit. (Just re-size it smaller.) Next, glue each toothpick onto each side of the dispenser and cover with trim.

Now just embellish remainder dispenser(s) as you wish! They can be used as a little Easter gift, perfect for a child’s birthday party favor, a wedding favor or even a button dispenser! You can make them in coordinating colors to match the buttons! How cute would they look in your craft room!?

There are so many possibilities for these adorable little dispensers! We would love for you to try them yourself and show us! We would love to see them! Just upload yours to our Gallery!

I hope you have fun making these! I sure did!
