Hybrid Gable Box

Being home for summer means plenty of trips to the pool.  Unfortunately we don’t own our own pool, so it means taking advantage of all of our friend’s pools!  I always try to bring each person a little something for their generosity.   Whether it’s little bottles of sunscreen, goggles, or even some little candles. I just want to give something that says thank you.

When I saw this adorable little gable box in the Hot, Hot, Hot! collection by The Digichick Designers and just knew it would be PERFECT.  I wanted to jazz it up just a little bit and I’ll show you just how I did that!

PHYSICAL SUPPLIES:

  • Matte Photo Paper
  • Metal Ruler
  • Adhesive – HermaDots
  • Cutting Knife – Xacto
  • Scoring Tool
  • Prima Flowers
  • Brads
  • String
  • Ribbon

Step 1:

You’ll be using the template provided in the Hot, Hot, Hot! kit.  Open it up in your photo editing program.  Add elements to your desire.  In the corner of the pages, there will be two little areas perfect for a tiny little t-shirt.   Resize the t-shirt to fit that area. Make a copy of the shirt, and flip it horizontally so that you have a front and back image.

Print your image.

Step 4:

Carefully adhere paper flowers to the box using a paper piercer or needle.  Insert brads.
