Hi! First, love this website and had to bookmark it asap.
I enjoyed this post about reusing in a cute way.
Mom was recycling and upcycling way before it became the ethical thing to do and this post just brought back some awesome memories of empty tins decorated as drums.
thank you for sharing !

Here I recycled some manila folders in a crazy modern way.

Tin looks like it is a perfect height for tampons- a lot better looking than the box they come in. That way if you have similar looking tins with actual goodies- the kids find the tampon one and won't bother them again!

Love it! I have been doing alot of recycling lately with jars and decorating them. Now, I can use these types of containers as well. We get a real big canister of Lemonade at Sam's Club and so now I cannot wait until it's all used up! Thanks for the inspiration!

Glad to see that I am not the only one who does this kind of recycling.. I also keep certain box types and when my daughters birthday comes around, they are decorated to the theme of her party and I give these out instead of giving out lollie bags..

I have only come across this site recently, but I love it.

What a beautiful job you did creating your secret stash tin. I too, collect all kinds of recycled containers... my favorites include hagen-daus ice cream containers, crystal lite containers (great for bath salts) and any tin/cardboard container with a lid (oatmeal containers are great for larger items)... So perfect for gift giving. Thanks for the inspiration... I think I'll go root thru my stash right now...LOL.

Jess, you should see my stash. OH MY GOSH, I can totally relate. I have so much recyclable junk just waiting to altered!! You should see my collection of Crystal Lite containers. It's bad.

Loved this project! Super cute and great job improvising a solution to your "gap issues!"

What a cute project!! I always hold on to boxes of all kind and I love to create something pretty from a recycled object! I love how you used the label to cover the rest of the tin!
