Learn from Jessica Sprague!

May 1, 2009 | Filed under: Blog News, Giveaways and tagged with: giveaway, Jessica Sprague, layouts

A lot of digital scrapbookers describe themselves as “self-taught.” I am NOT one of those scrapbookers. The first time I opened up my free 30-day trial of Photoshop Elements in June 2007, I just stared at the blank screen. Uh. Yeah. No clue. So, I brought out my trusty scrapbooking magazine and found Jessica Sprague. She had written a couple of articles about digital scrapbooking, and since I loved her layouts, I tried her little tutorials. Next, I looked up her blog and found more great “Photoshop Friday” tutorials. After a couple of months, I discovered that she was starting a new class called Up and Running with Photoshop, and I was able to sign up to be in the second round of that class (Oct. 2007 baby!!). Since then, I have taken almost all of Jessica Sprague’s seriously amazing, video-based, and now self-paced, digital scrapbooking, hybrid scrapbooking, journaling, photography, photo-editing, and organization classes. Whew! She just keeps coming out with more and more classes, and I just keep signing up!!

When I scrap for myself, I’m 100% digital. But I still have to drag out the paper and scissors and glue to do scrapbooks for a group.

Can THC staff enter! LOL!!! Dang it, as I’d so love to win a JS class :)

Well I do a bit of everything in my scrapping world. Started out as a paper scrapper about 6 years ago, did a bit of playing with PSE in the early days until I discovered JS’s classes and once I completed the Up and Running class, I have never looked back! But I’ll never give up my paper scrapping. I love to go back and forth between the two and then combine them into hybrid – the best of both worlds! Good luck everyone too :)

I’m a little digi and a little hybrid. I’ve taken a few of your classes – not this one yet, but it’s on my WISH LIST!!! I have learned SO SO much from your teaching style. I have taken other classes before yours – - but I honestly learned more in the FIRST chapter of the FIRST class I ever took of yours than I did in all of those other classes. Thanks for the opportunity to win this class!

I am paper and digi, but not hybrid, if that makes any sense. I usually do either ALL paper layouts (gathering with friends to scrap) or ALL digi layouts (at home on my Mac). =) Thanks for this great giveaway!

Right now I am a traditional paper scrapbooker but I am intrigued by the digi thing. Would love to win the class!

I’m a blend of “a little bit digi” and ” totally diggin’ digi “. I love to pull out the buttons and baubles and the scissors and glue for my hybrid projectsl… but my LO’s are done 100% digitally. Thanks for the chance to win one of Jessica’s classes.

I am a hybrid scrapper now! I took Episode 1 of Alchemy and fell in love. I’ve paper scrapped for years, digi scrapped for a few months, and now am just smitten with hybrid! The best of both worlds!

  21. Kathy says:

I am mostly digi with a little bit of paper scrapper still in me. Just can’t seem to give up all the papers and embellies. I collected too much of it when I was completely paper scrapping and feel the need to use some of it still.

  22. michelle says:

  23. Cherri says:

  24. Bonnie says:

I’m mostly digi. I still do the paper thing for gifts, but my scrap stuff is all digi at this point. It happened pretty quickly, I only discovered digi about 8 months ago.

  25. SusanD says:
    May 3, 2009 at 5:15 pm

Totally digi! (Well, I have all this paper and stuff in a closet, but since I do NOT use it; it does not count!)

  26. MichelleD says:
    May 3, 2009 at 5:22 pm

I use to do traditional and digi but never hybrid, that is until Jessica! I love hybrid, too! It truely is the best of both worlds and Jessica really makes it easy to take her lessons & personalze it to whatever works for you. Fun!!

  27. Ann says:
    May 3, 2009 at 5:27 pm

I am mostly a digi scrapper thanks to Jessica! I do dabble a bit now into hybrid because I love making notebooks, journals, mini books, etc.

  28. Jane says:

I seem to be on a digi phase right now, but have not completely given up paper yet. :)

Scrapbooking, what’s that?? i’m so far behind that I just make cards now, but would say I’m a paper scrapper trying to learn the digi world!

  31. Lisa says:

I am so new to all of this I don’t even know yet if I am a paper scrapper, hybrid, or all digi. I think I am going to be hybrid because I just love all the papers and embellishments I am starting to horde but I also love all the cool things I am learning with Jessica Sprague!

    Thanks~
