Hello! I thought I’d bring you a little inspiration from the Digichick’s Hybrid Gallery today! I was having a look around and I saw so many amazing things in there… well, I just had to share! I’ll be sure to link you up to each item, so you can visit the gallery to see larger images, credits and maybe leave some love, too.
First up is this beautiful handmade gift set from Julee that includes a little box and some 3 x 3 gift cards. Last weekend, I highlighted a few items from around the Boutique and one of them was a new kit from Kelley Mickus. Well, this week Kelley wowed us all again with another beautiful new kit called Just Breathe. It’s full of even more beautiful patterned papers that are just perfect for hybrid projects! I love how Julee used them here. The rhinestone centers are just too cute!
(By the way, Julee has some tips and instructions on her blog as to just how she assembled this darling little gift, so be sure to check out her blog for some tips and pointers.)
Here is another fabulous creation from the hybrid gallery–an adorable card from Jen! This sweet card was made using Kelley’s Our Story kit, which was last week’s “pick of the week.”
Jen picked some pretty colors and patterns for her card. I just love how Jen stitched on the little clouds here. It’s the perfect touch!
Have you ever used your sewing machine to stitch a piece of paper? It’s quite addicting! I like to use a special set of needles when I sew on paper so that I don’t damage my machine or make my needles blunt. I was given a free pack of denim needles at a class once, so I like to use one of those for my own paper-sewing projects, since they are made for heavy-duty tasks. Just a warning—once you start sewing on your papercrafts, it’s really hard to stop!
Here is another fabulous hybrid idea from Julie. She used a cute new element pack from Pamela Donnis called Rise & Shine to make herself a dry-erase menu planner. How cool is that?!
Simply make yourself a little menu planner in Photoshop, print it out on cardstock and either laminate your sheet or stick it in a clear page protector. Adhere some magnets on the back and you’re ready to stick it on your fridge and get to planning! Kinda makes you actually want to plan out a menu, huh? I know that cute stuff like this always helps me!
One last adorable thing to leave you with this week… another darling gift set from Julee!
For this project Julee used the pretty Flutter Top Box Template set by Kelleigh Ratzlaff and papers from the Strawberry Café [Revised] kit by Sugarplum Paperie. I think that little snail is just the cutest, too! And the red organdy ribbon adds a beautiful finishing touch!
Well, that’s all for this week. Hope these gorgeous projects leave you feeling inspired and ready to try your hand at some hybrid! And if you do, then be sure to stop by our Hybrid Gallery to upload your creations. We’d love to see what you’ve made, so please feel free to share your work with us!
Until next time, happy crafting!
